| The Zoom window |
In Excel 2003, the Zoom window is on the right hand side of the Standard toolbar.
The Zoom window acts as a drop down box and a textbox. If you click the downward-pointing black triangle, a drop down box appears with several preset
zoom percentages. The one called "Select" zooms out to 400%. If you click inside the text box (the white part that has 100% in it as a default value),
you can enter a percentage of your own choosing, say 85%, and press the Enter key. The active window will zoom down to 85%.
|
In Excel 2007, the Zoom feature is down in the lower right hand corner of the Status bar. It is a slider bar that zooms from 10% on the
left to 400% on the right.
If you click on the 100% to the left of the negative symbol, A Zoom dialog box pops up (below).
|
In Excel 2003, when you edit a cell in the formula bar and select the content, the entire formula bar was selected, which was off putting since
it appeared that unnecessary content to the right was also selected.
|
In Excel 2007, when you edit a cell in the formula bar and select the content, only the content that you select is highlighted.
